Data Collection on this Website
Cookies
Our websites use so-called 'cookies'. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or an automatic deletion by your web browser occurs. Cookies can come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services). Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes. Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies to measure web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited. Which cookies and services are used on this website can be found in this privacy policy.
Request by Email, Telephone, or Fax
If you contact us by email, telephone, or fax, your request including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time. The data you send to us via contact requests remains with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular legal retention periods - remain unaffected.
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our website. It forms part of our overall Privacy Policy and is designed to provide transparency in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive.
What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) by websites you visit. They help websites remember your preferences and improve functionality. We also use localStorage, a similar browser-based technology that stores data locally on your device without an expiration date unless manually cleared. On our website, we only use strictly necessary cookies and localStorage items. These are essential for the basic operation of the site and the accessibility features you request. We do not use any tracking, analytics, advertising, or third-party cookies. All data storage is first-party only, meaning it stays on our server and is not shared with any external parties.
Cookies and LocalStorage We Use
We use the following for our accessibility widget:
Cookie Name: asw
Purpose: This cookie stores your selected accessibility preferences to ensure the website displays according to your needs. It activates only when you interact with the accessibility widget and is necessary to provide the service you explicitly request.
Type: Strictly necessary (functional).
Duration: Persistent – it remains until you clear your browser cookies or it expires based on your browser settings (typically up to 1 year if not updated).
Storage Method: Cookie and/or localStorage (data is mirrored for reliability).
Data Stored: The different accessibility states, the language setting of the widget, and when the cookie was updated.
No other cookies or storage items are used on our site. We do not collect or process any data for marketing, profiling, or sharing purposes.
Consent and Your Choices
Since we only use strictly necessary cookies and localStorage that are exempt under GDPR (as they are vital for the functionality you request and do not involve tracking), we do not require a separate consent banner. By using the accessibility widget, you implicitly agree to these essential storage methods. You can manage or disable cookies and clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Go to Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Disabling these may affect the accessibility features, as your preferences won't be remembered across sessions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with the updated date. Last updated: November 12, 2025.
If you have questions, contact us via the details in our Imprint.
